Hi, I’m Colleen Forton.
My mission is to show you that you don’t have to rely on what’s offered on the grocery shelves to give your kids fun snack options, or to satisfy your own sweet tooth.
Here you’ll find plenty of indulgent feeling no bake sweets, and (naturally) colorful yet nourishing snacks your kids won’t be able to get enough of!
I’ve got a passion for finding healthier options that help families thrive; from non-toxic bakeware & safe personal care products to tons of homemade treats that are free of refined sugars, artificial dyes, and inflammatory oils.
Where this all began
My journey started when I was struggling to get pregnant for the first time. I assumed because I was young and seemingly healthy that it would happen instantly. When it didn’t, the research lover in me took a deep dive into optimal fertility & man did I learn a lot.
From there I became passionate about removing the ingredients found in our everyday personal care products, cleaning supplies, cookware, and food that disrupt hormones & increase respiratory illness, metabolic disease, and inflammation in our bodies.
From there, I found safer swaps for my family & began experimenting in the kitchen with snacks that I know could satisfy my undeniable sweet tooth, and nourish my body for a healthy pregnancy, too.
Once I had my own kiddos, I quickly realized how much they love helping in the kitchen, and how much they enjoy the food that they helped make themselves.
As I transitioned from my role as a full time registered nurse to a stay at home, I was quickly able to find so much joy and fulfillment in creating recipes that the whole family loved. Even through the recipe fails, and many, many messes, it brings me so much fulfillment to share what I’ve learned with you.
Fun Facts

On my 18th birthday, I went skydiving & I absolutely loved it. At the time, it was beyond thrilling and I wanted to do it again immediately. Now, the thought of jumping out of an airplane terrifies me!

I used to compete in bodybuilding bikini competitions. I thought I knew about “healthy eating.” But in the years since, I’ve learned that counting the nutrient quality of my food has left me so much healthier than only counting calories.

I’d never broken a bone or had stitches until I turned 30. I accidentally sliced my thumb on a can of salmon while making lunch. I thought I could wrap it up & be on my way. 8 stitches later–tells me I was wrong about that.
