Christmas Tree Rice Krispie Treats

Easy, gluten free, dye free Rice Krispies! These are so fun and easy to whip up last minute! I used my homemade marshmallows here to keep it 100% refined sugar free, but feel free to use any! Whole Foods has a dye free marshmallow!

Serves: 8
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp Butter, Unsalted, Or vegan butter
- 2 cups Protein Marshmallows! (click for recipe)
- 2 1/2 cups Brown Rice Crisps
- 1 whole Green Food Color – Color Kitchen Foods
- 8 whole Mini Peanut Butter Cups, *
- 1/4 cup Dark Chocolate Peanut Gems – Unreal
Process
- Combine butter & marshmallows on stove top until melted
- Add in artificial due free green colorant
- Then add in cereal and combine until all are coated
- Wet hands then roll chunks of the mixture into a tree / cone shape
- Use a bit of white icing to secure your pb cup to the bottom as the tree stand
- Pipe icing as strings across the trees, then place chocolate gems as your tree lights
- Enjoy!
Notes
I used a yumearth dye free chocolate gems (unreal and Lakanto also have artificial dye free chocolate gems) for the lights I used miss jones organic vanilla icing to attach the trunk and lights i used Justin’s organic dark chocolate peanut butter cups for the trunk
