Healthy Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard
This Healthy Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard is a delicious and nourishing twist on your favorite Dairy Queen seasonal blizzard!
If you’ve never had a DQ blizzard, it’s basically like a super thick milkshake with toppings
They’re just loaded with sugar, dyes, and preservatives, but there is something appealing about the thick creamy texture!
Luckily, it is so easy to make one at home!

With a thick strawberry cheesecake base, and chunks of cheesecake dough and crushed graham crackers throughout, this a mouthful of flavor and texture with each bite!
Why You’ll Love This Healthy Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard
- It’s gluten free, dye-free, and refined sugar free
- It can easily be made dairy free
- It’s high protein, and made with nourishing ingredients
- It’s easy to make!

Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/3 cup coconut milk
- 2 scoops Ka’Chava Strawberry all-in-one nutrition shake – use code COLLEEN to save
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt -for that authentic tangy cheesecake flavor
- 1 tbsp cream cheese -the secret weapon for ultimate creaminess
- 1 tbsp honey
- Cheesecake truffles (you’ll have plenty extra for snacking!)
- 1/4 cup Vanilla Bean Ghee – 4th & Heart Or plain ghee, or coconut oil, melted
- 1/4 cup Cashew Butter
- 1/4 cup Vanilla Protein Powder
- 1 cup Almond Flour
- 1/4 cup Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1/8 tsp butter extract

You know it’s thick when it passes the flip test!
Dairy Queen uses multiple different thickeners and stabilizers tom thicken their shakes, all of which can upset the GI tract, among other negative affects
Here, we just use some frozen ingredients, the right ratio of frozen to liquid, and a good powdered food processor to make it nice and creamy!
Process
- Make cheesecake dough by mixing all ingredients together
- You can roll into tiny balls, or just crumble it overtop the blizzard when ready
- You can also roll them into 1-2 tbsp size balls for an easy grab and go snack with the extra!
- For the blizzard, simply blend or process all ingredients together until smooth, scraping the sides in between blending
- Top and stir in cheesecake dough and crushed gluten free graham crackers, and enjoy!

I love how easy it to just add all of the filling ingredients to a blender, mix, and pour!

Variations for Dietary Preferences
- Kachava strawberry shake – you can use any strawberry protein of choice. I also like Just ingredients 100% grass fed whey
- You can also use vanilla protein powder
- You can omit the protein powder and add 1-2 tbsp freeze dried strawberry powder for stronger strawberry flavor
- Cream cheese – feel free to sub vegan cream cheese
- Greek yogurt – feel free to sub vegan version
- Banana – can sub raw cashews or silken tofu, both pretty neutral in taste, but add thickness and creaminess
