Why You’ll Love This Sparkling Witch’s Potion Punch

  • It’s free from artificial colors and sugary sodas
  • The kids absolutely love it, and you’ll love that it’s actually nutritious
  • It’s made with just 5 ingredients
  • It comes together super quickly
  • You can easily make this in bulk or in a punch bowl for a Halloween party

Key Ingredients

  • Superfruit Punch – I used Uncle Matt’s organic superfruit punch. I love the dark hue it gives, and the antioxidant packed fruits in it too, and never any added sugars. I’ve seen them at Sprouts or Whole Foods. Or use their store locator to find them near you
  • Sparkling Mineral Water – gives that fuzzy carbonated punch without adding sugar
  • Gelatin – gives the homemade gummy worms their squishy texture. I prefer grass fed beef gelatin which is high protein, and rich in glycine, which helps support you hair, skin, and gut lining
  • Lemonade – again, I used Uncle Matt’s organic brand here, as it’s low sugar. Using a transparent juice (unlike orange juice) helps these gummies give that vibrant neon green look
  • Matcha powder – an easy way to add a pinch of green without needing food dye. You can also use an all natural food colorant like Color Kitchen Foods brand

How to Make Sparkling Witch’s Potion Punch

  • Make your gummies first
  • Whisk 1/2 cup lemonade with 1/4 cup grass fed beef gelatin together in a bowl. Set aside to thicken into a gelatin bloom
  • Whisk green colorant in water being sure to dissolve all clumps
  • On the stovetop add 3/4 cup lemonade, honey, and green colorant
  • Once warm / lightly bubbling add you gelatin bloom and mix until dissolved
  • Pour into gummy worm mold, and refrigerate 1 hour. They’ll pop right out of the molds once they’re firm
  • Now assemble your drinks
  • Add ice to a glass, then 3/4 full with superfruit punch, add some gummies inside, top with sparkling mineral water, and garnish with more worms
  • Enjoy!
  • Store leftover gummy worms in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5-6 days

Variations for Dietary Preferences

  • Superfruit punch – feel free to use any juice you’d like here!
  • Sparkling Mineral Water – sub healthier prebiotic soda like Olipop brand for a flavorful and sparkling punch
  • Gelatin – I have not tried to make gummies with agar agar myself, but I know that 1 tsp of agar agar is equivalent to 1 tablespoon of gelatin, so adjust accordingly
  • Lemonade – I chose a very light color juice for the gummies, so that the color would pop. Feel free to try with orange juice or the flavor of your choice!
  • Add more flavor – add some pureed mango to your stovetop mixture, or use a flavored syrup. I like Wabry organic pina colada syrup– it goes great with the lemonade!
