I used THESE brain molds

I love a pop of color for the festive holiday treats, but artificial dyes are one thing we try to steer clear from dye to all of their negative affects
If you’re also trying to steer clear from artificial dyes and refined sugars, check out all my healthier halloween treats HERE

Why You’ll Love These Healthy Halloween Brain Gummies
- The jiggle makes them so much fun
- There are no actual jello packets needed here!
- Jello packets are full of junk ingredients, including artificial dyes and artificial flavorings. It’s so simple to make those same “jello” treats you know and love!
- They’re gluten free, refined sugar free, and dairy free
- They’ve got a little protein boost with each brain!

Ingredients
- 2 cups Superfruit Punch (I used Uncle Matts Organic brand)
- 1/4 cup raspberry puree, or 2 tbsp pure maple syrup for sweetness
- 2-3 Tbsp Grass-Fed Gelatin
Process
- Whisk 2 tbsp gelatin with 1/4 cup juice in a small bowl. -After a few minutes it will thicken into a gelatin bloom
- Heat remaining juice & raspberry puree or sweetener over stove top over medium heat
- Once heated, whisk in gelatin bloom
- Add a few drops of your green colorant & water mixture until your desired green shade is achieved
- Pour into your brain molds
- Set in the fridge for an hour, then loosen the edges and they’ll pop right out
- Use a toothpick dipped in chocolate to draw on eyes
- Enjoy!
- Keep in the fridge if not eating right away

Once you whisk your gelatin and juice together it will thicken into what’s called a gelatin bloom (what’s pictured on the right)
Variations for Dietary Preferences
- Gelatin – I have not tried myself, but agar agar is a vegan substitue for gelatin. However, you will need much less. You will only need 1 – 2 teaspoons of agar agar
- Super Fruit Punch– You can use any juice you’d like to achieve the color are seeking! Try strawberry lemonade for a pink brain
