Why You’ll Love This Cosmic Brownie Protein Ice Cream – Ninja Creami Edition
- You would never know it’s healthy ice cream based on the texture! It’s incredibly smooth and creamy; not icy at all
- The flavor is rich and decadent
- It’s high protein and low sugar
- It can easily be made dairy free and even vegan friendly

I put off trying out a Ninja Creami as long as I could. 2 Black Friday’s ago I caved and bought one, and it is SO worth it!
Healthy dessert that tastes just like the real deal.. and kid approved too!
Yes, my kids ask for their protein ice cream regularly. I’ve managed to sneak in flax seeds, high quality bone broth protein, raw milk, all kinds of nourishing foods, while they think they’re getting such a treat
There are different variations, but this basic Creami is all you need!

Ingredients
- 1 can coconut milk, shaken – can also use 1 3/4 cup organic whole milk for more protein
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder –
- my favorite is Just Ingredients brand bone broth protein. It’s incredibly nourishing and tastes delicious. Her products contain no gums or artificial ingredients. She also offers a 100% grass fed whey protein that tastes great, too!
- 1 tbsp black cocoa powder – slightly more rich than cocoa powder
- 1-2 tbsp collagen peptides – adds even more creaminess without needing artificial flavored pudding packets
- 1 tbsp date syrup, or pure maple syrup
- Brownie Chunks
- 4 whole medjool dates, pits removed
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 2 1/2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Dye free chocolate candies for topping

Process
- Vigorously shake, froth, or blend together milk, cocoa, chocolate protein, and syrup until smooth
- Pour into ninja creami container and freeze at least 16 hours
- Make brownie chunks by processing ingredients together until smooth, then rolling into some dough bites
- Can refrigerate in an air tight container until ready to use
- Place your creami container under ice cream setting
- Then add in a few brownie chunks and hit the mix in setting (the ice cream may not be perfectly smooth yet, but since you’re adding mixins it will re-spin that extra time to perfect creaminess).
- If not adding the brownie chunks to the ice cream you can just hit the re-spin if your ice cream isn’t smooth the first time
- Top with more brownie chunks and dye-free gems and enjoy!

I love how easy it to just blend everything together, freeze, spin, and ENJOY
Bonus: You’ll have plenty more brownie chunks leftover for snacking!
Variations for Dietary Preferences
- Coconut milk – you can use cows milk to keep it higher protein. Whole milk will give the creamiest texture. 2% my work. I do not recommend fat free
- Date syrup – can sub pure maple syrup or sugar free syrup
- Black cocoa powder – can use regular cocoa powder (will be slightly less rich and lighter in color)
- Chocolate protein powder – if you choose not to use any variety of protein powder then up the cocoa powder to 2 tbsp
- collagen – can be left out. It adds to the creaminess, but a re-spin will help the creaminess also
