Nutritious, protein packed, gluten, dairy, and dye free cake batter protein balls! The perfect sweet tooth fix or energy boost for grown ups and kids alike!

These cake batter protein balls have that melt-in-your mouth cookie dough texture. Serves: 10

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Cashew Butter
  • 1/2 cup Vanilla Protein Powder, *
  • 1/2 cup Almond Flour
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Oil
  • 3 Tbsp Pure Maple Syrup, Or raw honey
  • 1 – 2 Tbsp Flaxseed Meal, Optional, can use chia or hemp seeds too
  • 1/2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Almond Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
  • 3 Tbsp Sprinkles, Dye free*

Process

  1. Combine wet ingredients together until smooth, then add In dry
  2. You can add sprinkles to the batter, or wait and just roll them in sprinkles
  3. Refrigerate dough 15 min
  4. Roll into balls, roll into sprinkles and enjoy!
  5. Keep stored in the fridge

Variations for Dietary Preferences

  • Cashew butter – Can use sun butter or vanilla oat butter (like oat haus brand). Can also use almond butter, although this will alter the cake batter taste
  • To make fully vegan use a plant based protein powder and pure maple syrup in place of honey
  • Vanilla protein powder- you can sub oat flour for a similar texture
  • Almond extract – brings out the cake batter taste! You can omit if you’d like, or use butter extract for a similar cake flavor
