Roasted Red Pepper Pizza Pockets

These pizza hearts are filled with cheesy goodness, and paired with the most DELICIOUS roasted red pepper dipping sauce! Seriously I wanted to dip any and everything into this sauce!

Serves: 11

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Paleo/GF Pie Crust (click for recipe)
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup Red Onion, Onion, mushrooms, peppers, and diced veggies
  • 1 whole Egg Whites, For egg wash
  • 2 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 whole Roasted Red Pepper, 1 jar, drained well
  • 3 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Tbsp Parsley, Flat Leaf
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 oz Almonds, Roasted
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Process

  1. Use a heart cookie cutter to your crust
  2. Place mozzarella inside, veggies (whatever veggies you’d top on your pizza), and more cheese
  3. Top with remaining hearts of dough, use a fork to seal the sides, brush with egg white and sprinkle parmasean over top
  4. Freeze for 15 min & make your red pepper sauce by processing all ingredients together until just slightly chunky
  5. Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes until golden on top
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!
