Low Sugar Tastykake Mini Powdered Donuts

Yes that’s right- all the fun, messy goodness of your childhood favorite, but with way less sugar, and a protein boost, too! 

Serves: 36

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Almond Flour
  • 1/4 cup Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1/4 cup Oat Flour
  • 1/2 whole Banana, mashed
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp Almond Milk
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Almond Extract
  • 2 Tbsp Confectioners Sugar, Powdered – Swerve, Or organic powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup Vanilla Protein Powder

Process

  1. Combine your donut ingredients together, place in piping bag or ziplock bag with hole in the edge and pipe into a mini donut pan
  2. Bake at 350 for 6-7 min
  3. Remove from pan and onto cooling rack
  4. Then place powdered sugar and protein sugar into a paper bag, place a few donuts in the bag at a time and shake to coat
  5. Enjoy!
  6. If not eating right away I don’t recommend coating as it will dissolve overtime and you’ll need to recoat
