Healthy Grinch Jell-O Cups
These Healthy Grinch Jell-O Cups are artificial dye-free, and don’t actually require any artificial flavored and junk filled jello packets!
They’re made with simple ingredients, including a lower sugar homemade whipped cream topping, and naturally colored white chocolate heart, too!

I love a pop of color for the festive holiday treats, but artificial dyes are one thing we try to steer clear from dye to all of their negative affects
If you’re also trying to steer clear from artificial dyes and refined sugars, check out all my healthier christmas treats HERE

All artificial dye-free!
Granted, there are several cleaner and naturally colored brands on the market today that help make that easier, but there are plenty of pure colorants too!
Think Blue Spirulina Powder, Matcha powder, turmeric, freeze dried raspberry powder, etc!
Why You’ll Love These Healthy Grinch Jell-O Cups
- The jiggle makes them so much fun
- There are no actual jello packets needed here!
- Jello packets are full of junk ingredients, including artificial dyes and artificial flavorings. It’s so simple to make those same “jello” treats you know and love!

- They’ve got a little protein boost with each cup!

- Allow to cool before pouring into plastic cups

- Make Whipped Cream
- For whipped topping- chill a mixing bowl, then add in heavy cream, protein powder, powdered sugar, and vanilla. If using powdered sugar substitute add the arrowroot.
- Using a hand or stand mixer mix together until whipped up ~6-7 min
- If using a hand mixer take a break halfway and place bowl in the freezer for a few to chill again
- Once whipped, place in a piping bag (you will have extra), pipe overtop jello cups
- Make chocolate hearts by melting white chocolate with coconut oil in 20 second intervals until smooth
- Add a few drops of natural red colorant
- Pour into heart mold and freeze for 10 minutes
- Pop out and place on top of whipped cream

Variations for Dietary Preferences
- Lime- these were a lemon/lime flavor, but you can leave out the extra lemon & lime juice if you’d like
- Change the flavor – you can add 1/4 cup mango puree to make a mango lemonade flavor
- Gelatin – I have not tried with agar agar, but I do know you would need a lot less. 1 teaspoon agar agar is equivalent to 1 tablespoon gelatin

I hope you feel inspired to skip the jello packets and make your own homemade jello with actually nourishing ingredients!
